🕑 Added 2022-01-03 19:50:00 +0000 UTCAfter a few mails with the company that makes the playing cards it’s clear that not even the cosplay idea is ok. It will fall into copyright infringement even if is just an OC cosplaying a character.
The only way it will work is if the whole thing is a whole parody of the characters portrayed which will totally kill the objective of the card set I think.
So I will have to think of some other ideas that doesn’t involve copyright stuff at all :c

Quality wouldn't be the same plus handling, printing and manufacturing would be really difficult.

Sounds like they don't know the difference between "trademark" and "copyright". An image is copyrighted, the characters are trademark. Still a legal grey area, but I'm neurodivergent and this detail bothers me 🤷♂️
