Background processes - tutorial (3 types & comparisons!)
🕑 Added 2024-09-14 06:49:53 +0000 UTCI recommend downloading/saving each png for an easier time properly zooming in and reading! Hope it’s easy enough to understand and that at least someone finds any of these useful! The names for each method are just made up, if there are proper terms for them I apologize cx
Feel free to comment questions and if you use/don’t use any of these methods already do let me know/tell me about your experiences with it/which other ways! Always a fun read C:
Speedpaints of all the finished PMV backgrounds will also be included in the big batch later on this month!
From personal experience as well; I enjoy and mix in all these methods depending on use and mood! I most commonly do the painting method for background/photo studies, grayscale for concept art or more complex/detailed scenes and the ajdustment layer method for things like color palettes (e.g the you’re gonna go far kid background concepts & character palettes!)
