dahmer was one of the dumbest serial killers like you said he really just got away because 1. the police sucks 2. he’s white 3. and most his victims were vulnerable people society didn’t give a fuck about (black/asian/gay). i think the show is ok, but the documentary is better and more accurate.

I remember the first couple, maybe 3, episodes were hard to watch in a different way than the rest. It ‘got better’ in some way that idk how to say.
