Take the maternal approach, also the same path The Lord would prefer . . . make them realize how much they've changed, and how proud you are of them for it . . . but also make them realize that while you are proud of them, that they should not throw it all away and disappoint you, leaving you with no choice but "to take disciplinary action". The Lord, Father Odin, no matter what faith you follow, the elder above all is a parent, and a parent does not feel hatred for their children, but great disappointment when they do wrong, and great sadness when they have to take action in response to an especially grave wrong. And in Laura's case, taking on the role of a powerful mother figure should come naturally . . . and serve as a better mindset to keep her from worrying about becoming like a certain pair of hell bound jackels.
