I need to re-listen to the episode because I only just noticed that the accompanying picture is four seasons total landscaping. I guess America's former mayor finding out live that the election has been called and yelling ALL THE NETWORKS is pretty representative of the information age

Really you don't need a reason to nuke the moon. Stupid fucking moon.

Matthew Maxon

I can't find the last suggestion box. Someone please consider Project A112. It's when the Air Force wanted to nuke the Moon in reaction to Sputnik.

Quote from Wikipedia Heath "In the mid-19th century, as a cultural term, avant-garde identified a genre of art that advocated art-as-politics, art as an aesthetic and political means for realizing social change in a society."

Also, the Etruscans are actually Bronze Age survivors. That's how bad ass they are. All this earthquake plague drought invasion bullshit, Etruscans were like fuck you we're inventing a culture that'll be cribbed from us by the Romans someday.

Cool thing about the Late Bronze Age (LBA) trade system was all of the trade partners were in contact with each other directly. This meant that a problem anywhere in the system affected the entire system, hence the extensive LBA collapse. And yes, they did have pre-emptive defensive wars, that was the Egyptian justification for invading Canaan in the first place after driving out the Hyksos, leading to the First Battle of Megiddo in 1454 BCE.

How did you miss “The Bronzer Collapse” as the answer to the first quiz question?!

I almost choked on my lunch when we got to "dirt nerds" tasting the destruction 🤣

I was picturing what "prostated on the beach" would look like and it's my favorite mental image inspired by any podcast.

Cecil: the word you wanted was “prostrated”… not “prostated”… unless Ramses was describing a very different situation with the Sea People. I mean, either way it’s a great image.

I love this episode with the exception of the midway skit and the end of the skit. That seemed like a personal attack towards me because you put the sound of food being eaten on to your podcast. And I don't know if I can forgive you.
