Personal Update
🕑 Added 2024-11-30 08:06:56 +0000 UTCHi everyone! I wanted to give you all a little update on what's been going on, as I know I have been running a bit behind lately. And I know some of you have been a little worried, especially after my vagueposting earlier this month.
Unfortunately, what is going on is that my wife has cancer. It was really not the result any of the doctors were expecting when we started doing precautionary tests, so we have been a little blindsided by it all. Since getting the diagnosis, things have been pretty chaotic, with medical appointments happening on a daily basis at different locations all over town. Honestly, we have been so busy, I feel like I've barely even had enough time to think about how scary it all is.
The good news is: we have a treatment plan in place now that will be starting up soon, and the doctors are feeling optimistic about it. And once that begins, we'll be settling back into a more predictable schedule. But it's going to be a long process. I am not entirely sure yet how it will affect my long term work schedule. I just know that my number one priority will be helping Jesi get through this, and I'll adjust everything else around that as needed.
Now, I know I have an amazing crew of supporters here. So I know, even before I post this, that everyone is going to be fully understanding of whatever I have to do. I am not even remotely worried about that... you all are the best. I just wanted to let you all know what was going on.
All that said, my intent is to keep up with making all my usual Patreon content. Frankly, it's my favourite stuff to work on. And the truth is, if I need to cut back on work, there are just other things I'd cut back on first before doing so here. Y'all are my most loyal supporters, and we really appreciate you... especially as we go through this difficult time.
