That was excellent and a real light bulb moment 💡video! The diagram is so simple, yet is spot on. I never gave thought to where my depression-like thoughts come from or where my anxiety stems from. After pondering different situations in my life, I can clearly see that my saddest times were when I was stuck in the past and my most anxious times were when I was thinking about the future. We can learn from the past and we should give some thought to our future, but we shouldn’t let today be forgotten. Perhaps a case can be made that we really don’t understand and use the full potential of our brain! God gave us our very own personal computer and most, including me, don’t tap into the possibilities in can produce! Please thank your daughter for bringing this topic up. She is much like her mother, yet let me not judge, lest a rivalry develops between you two 😂. Keep it coming!

You are right about possibly making too much of the “here and now”. I guess focusing on any one or two of them could get us into trouble… be it the mind, body, or soul. Taking all three into account does make sense!

Awesome message as always Sis! I think we need all 3 in balance. You covered the Past and future traps very well. I think sometimes we are too present minded and fall into an immediate gratification ditch, or a performance mindset trap of trying to please people (work, religion, school etc..). The proper balance gives us the lessons of our past, a trust reliant present, and a faith purposed future.
