I mentioned the other day that loneliness is relieved in God’s Presence. That can be sometimes discouraging though, if you feel like you are in a dry season where it might be harder to hear from God. That is the devotion from yesterday. A dry season doesn’t mean that God has left you or that you are necessarily doing something wrong. Sometimes He uses those times to show you what it really looks like to pursue God. It builds tenacity and strength.
My verse of the year is one I read often to remind myself of the focus that fills me:
Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.
Don’t give up! He is there. He has never left you.

Thankfully I am accustomed to living in the desert. Perhaps I am acclimating while God helps me build the strength. I must say that Psalm is probably the most difficult of yours to decipher. ut that is good. I will read it a few more times. This will be more useful as I get much older and become even more lonely. My final epoch will be the true test. I love the "Refill" title.

I find this very true. There are times when I ask, “God, where are you?” But He is always with me. I need to be open to what He is saying.

Amen Sis. God uses these times to take us deeper with Him. It is always a learning process. Seek Him and ask what do I need to learn in this? He may not answer right away but eventually when you are ready, He will and your relationship will be enhanced. Thanks Sis for your ever loving heart.
