General Update + Tier Change Stuff

To keep it short, I'm going to start by saying I don't really like to talk about my personal life because I'd rather just give you guys cool art and be quiet, but a lot of things have been happening in my life this year that I wanna very quickly go over, which should hopefully make this tier decision thing make a little more sense, hopefully, and I'm very sorry to everyone it upsets, genuinely.

SITUATION
SO, yesterday was my birthday, and my mom called to tell me happy birthday
very lovely, very sweet
and to also inform me that my father is most definitely going to be dying in the hospital very soon. I don't wanna get too into it or make anyone feel depressed, so I'll leave the details and my feelings aside.
My family isn't very well off and has been going through hell and witnessing the saddest thing for the last 6 or so years, so I want to send money to help them when they need it, and with this situation (because he is most definitely going to be passing away) I would like to be able to help out even more, which is why I'm going to be making some changes to some of the tiers.
And the changes that are already in place aren't all I'm going to do, as the months go by I plan on figuring out more things to reward you guys with as well.

TIER CHANGES/ADDITIONS
So what are the changes going to be? This is where I start to feel like an asshole, but I sincerely hope you guys can understand with my current situation why I'm doing this. To be clear, every single thing I make now and forever is always going to be public, I will never paywall content, I find that obnoxious and annoying.
However, I've been trying to come up with ideas for what I could do to be more engaged with the community, because as it has been for the last 4 or so years I feel like I haven't done enough for you who support me, and that's really shitty of me.
I'm going to be thinking of new rewards for tiers as time goes on, right now I'm making it so $5 and above will have access to the archive, which I will make a post for either later today or tomorrow (It's taking a long time to archive everything appropriately)
Also, I'd like to start doing timelapses for my posters because people always ask to see the process, and I feel like streams might be another fun thing I could do to REALLY show the process. At some point after I get some more doujins under my belt, I think I'd like to do some physical releases and I could figure out a way to work that into a tier too... I want to give back to you guys so much more, so I'm going to brainstorm and come up with fun things I can do for rewards.
I'm sorry for not doing more fun stuff for you guys, but I do genuinely appreciate the support and I want to start doing more. Please don't feel obligated to now raise your pledge because of my sob story, and I'm very sorry if you're mad about the archive being behind the $5 tier. I hate hate hate doing it like this, but I want to help my family, so please understand.

That's all I have to say, I'm actually sorry if anyone gets upset over this decision, it doesn't feel right to me, but y'know. I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to process my dad dying, but I have no intention of stopping work, It's what keeps me going. Thank you very much for all the support you've given me over the years and allowing me to make this my job, I am completely dedicated to just getting bigger and better and making the best content I can, thank you very much everyone.
TLDR, dad is going to be dying soon, making some tier changes in light of that to help my family which I've bolded in the post, and I want to start doing more for the people supporting me. Thank you everyone.

I'm really sorry to hear about your father's illness. Having a sick parent is an incredibly hard situation to deal with, I've been there myself. Just don't push yourself too hard, and take a break if you need to. Also your prices are extremely fair so make whatever changes you want to the tiers.

I don't like paywalling content because I want everyone to see everything I make, I can't get behind the idea of making things and then NOT showing it to people, I want people to see And It's also incredibly frustrating to find a cool new artist and then find out that everything they post is censored or locked behind a patreon, it's a bummer and makes me not want to look into that artist anymore so I apply that and the other thing I said to my own works, and I don't want to do that to people lol I just generally don't like the idea behind it, it feels wrong and dirty. First of all, I just want to parrot what others have said and say that I’m really sorry that your family is going through a hard time. I know finances only make such times even harder, so do what you need to as far as tiers. i have always thought your prices are extremely fair. Remember that everyone will process grief differently. It took a very long time before I let myself cry over my good friend that took his own life in high school. I haven’t lost a parent yet but I know it will be just as hard if not harder. Try to keep doing things that bring joy into your life. Do you mind if I ask why you don’t want to paywall specific content? Do you think that it would get you more patrons? I’m asking as a self aspiring nsfw artist, I am trying to decide if I’ll paywall. My urge is not to, because I feel like making alternative versions and such might take away from the overall creativity and output. Just curious on your thoughts. Thanks M8, for everything!

As a guy doing his own entrepreneur thing on YT to support his family, I completely understand as I also lost my father. Never feel bad about charging for what you’re good at. You love doing it, so you need to ensure that you can KEEP doing it no matter what happens. Your happiness always comes first. It’s fine to be selfish in that regard. The shit you’re going through is rough and, even though I’m not huge on YT yet, I want to do what I can to help because you seem like a genuine dude and make great tiddy. Hope you’re able to make it through OK and keep living your best life for you and those around you.
