All mill operations are still needed... but the rest of the milling shouldn't take to much time to do...

Brandon Sander

that about sums it up haha so is your jack just awaiting the slits?

Chris Williams

Finished the lathe work on my first one... now for a good side project... like the saw arbor cause my school doesn't have one lol...

Brandon Sander

😁 Thank you so much! Welcome!

Steven Bierlink

Never occurred to me to check if you had Patreon. So happy to help out for great content!!!

Brandon Sander

His name is Art McKay. I think he's just a nice guy who used to be a machinist. No internet presence or portfolio.

Jacob Lamon

Art who? I was wanting to look at some of his other work

Brandon Sander

It's pretty clever! I actually got a suggestion from someone to try it by indexing your chuck (If it's a D1 camlock), or by indexing you change gears. Lets you keep the compound at the preferred 60 degrees.

Jim

I've never attempted multi start threads before but this might be a good excuse! Love the "hack" of doing it with the compound set sideways and using straight infeed. I kind of want to make some interchangeable anvils out of brass for more delicate workpieces.

Brandon Sander

Thanks! Yup its a Steadtler 2mm lead holder. The sharpener is a vintage Dietzgen abrasive lead pointer.

Brandon Sander

Welcome!

looks like you are using 2mm mech pencil. What's the pencil sharpener??? great content as usual!

Hi I'm new to patron what's up tho lol

Brandon Sander

Thanks! Ended up not being as bad as I thought. Excluding the surface grinder that is...

Brandon Sander
