(AD FREE) What Happens When You Procrastinate...

đ Thanks!

The bloopers at the end are the icing on top of the cake that is an excellent video!
Brandon Sander
No worries! Glad you found it!
Bob Johnson
I found the link, it is all there, and the links work; sorry for the bother
Brandon Sander
Hmm... it should be a list of supplies (and amazon links). I updated descriptions on both videos within Youtube. Let me know if you're not seeing it!
Bob Johnson
Thanks, I'll look at the YouTube version when it is released as I do not find them in the early release Patreon version shown here today. Would seem a good idea for you to use Amazon links after giving them a "plug"; they give you the finders fee?
Brandon Sander
đ it's like a circadian rhythm for machining content! Thanks as always, Jeffrey!
Matt Kosmoski
Definitely agree on the ferrules. Since they got so cheap, I use them for all of my terminal blocks.
Brandon Sander
I almost forgot! I updated the video description with links of everything I bought in the video including the VFD and enclosure. Good luck!

Good luck explaining to the wife why you started an Inheritance Machining Only Fans account!
Bob Johnson
Would you please give us the source information on the VFD and the box it is in? I've been planning to do the same to my lathe and mill. Unfortunately, I was not successful in programming an import VFD and burned it up. The one you used at least at intelligible marking on the connector strips.

Man, I was just thinking this morning with excitement, 'ya know, Brandon should be publishing a new episode soon' and boom, here we are. I look forward to them with the excitement of a small boy who's birthday is just around the corner. Another great episode Brandon, looking forward to the next adventure!
Brandon Sander
That's far too spicy for youtube đ

The joy is in the creation, not the having. I get that.

Hoping for a book review for the next video!
Brandon Sander
Thanks Michael đ As for your question, yes and no. Tearing into something or making something new does still give me that sense of exploration. But that only happens if theres something new to learn or challenging related to it. I'm not (typically) a fan of making things just for the sake of making them. As you've probably picked up from my projects, there's usually some spin I put on each one. Whether a mechanism/feature I've not seen or used before or some challenging/new operation.
Brandon Sander
Thanks, Jim! No, I'm still pushing that one off until it drives me mad đ I've been getting lucky in recent projects
Brandon Sander
Thanks! đ I might need to head his advice before I have an electrical fault!

I love watching a detail-oriented engineer do a project right instead of slap-dash nonsense. Inheritance Machining indeed. A personal question, do you still get the joy of exploration and wonder tearing down these machines and building a system from the ground up, or has it become commonplace? I know the entire channel is basically predicated on you loving to build things, but I distinctly recall being stuck in traffic once and seeing a truck's airbrakes working and thinking "That's really neat!" when I should've been paying attention to traffic. There's just so much wonder out there, even if we made it ourselves.

Excellent... is the lathe taper next đ¤?

Another great vignette! The production just keeps getting better and funnier. PJâs comment on the ferrules is spot on! Thanks again for a great episode.
Brandon Sander
Thanks PJ and thanks the the tip! I was a little skeptical of the style I was using. Didn't occur to me proper ferrules and crimper could be aqured so cheaply!
PJ
Well done Brandon! Have that same kit of feedthru's from Amazon...worth both penny's it cost. Too bad about old faithful. A tip for the wiring to the Tblocks is to use wire ferrules. They seat better and don't allow the strands to separate, better connection and carry the amps, recommended by my old Phoenix Rep. Amazon $17/1800 w/crimper. Thanks for the treat!
