.....Are you telling us that out of all of the tools that you inherited, there was not a single dovetail mill? ETA: Just realized that you could have used the boring head to cut both sides of the slot in a single pass, making precision sizing and positioning even easier.

Welcome Sierra! One more thought about the brain question: Have you ever read the “machinist bedside reader”? There are only 3 editions and seems like the author quit making them and getting a copy is quite expensive. Maybe a video or newsletter version would be cool. My two extra cents…

Max Goldstein

I always assumed you quietly removed “digested” items from the Box of Shame. Guess not!

Great cameo on Not An Engineer, it was through that channel when I discovered your channel because you commented on one of his videos!

Pierre Alie

The quality of your vids and drawings are well worth the wait. An extra week will not diminish the value of what you have to offer. Delayed gratification at its finest?

Craig Andera

I saw the Not An Engineer cameo. Hilarious.

@kyle, I love the vision. Just do it. I plan on being the old man in his garage, making small, unavailable parts for neighbors and small businesses. Keep us posted on your progress.

Jim Ruddy

Sounds like Sierra is your new Director of Marketing

Understanding how long it actually takes to design and machine something by hand on older machines, I've been blown away by your two week pace as I can hardly get half a project done within a month's time 😅 kids and family need our time. On a side note, currently working out the details for my first major project build for a small startup company that's coming in locally. Fingers crossed we can work out a deal and land a job because I have a feeling it will lead to other jobs down the road. Maybe I could finally step away from the norm and do my thing full time as well which would also really push me to start recording what I'm doing and releasing content myself. We'll see what comes. A warm welcome to Sierra, and excited to see what changes this means going forward.

I was a little sad I kept forgetting to answer that poll, but it sounds like you're in good hands. :D Little sad to have a reduced tempo, but if it prevents burnout, that's more important! Plus it just means you need to grow enough to get a second team going to get back to every two weeks, right? :D

Matt Kosmoski

I quite enjoyed that Not An Engineer crossover. Hope to see more of them in the future!

Hi Sierra! Welcome aboard! Can't wait to see you.

Trevor Flowers

Hi, Sierra!

Pierre Alie

I must say that something boring must be coming up!
