Live Free or DIE HOLDER
🕑 Added 2023-10-26 14:00:07 +0000 UTCA quest to find the happy middle ground between single point threading and using a thread die and wrench. Longest video to date and you can expect A LOT of chamfers. Possible some of my best to date 😁
Enjoy!

Thanks! My main concern was error from rotating through the positions and the collet block just sticking so far above the vise. But I did some checking with the coax and got a consistency I could live with

Fair question! haha I guess I'm just extremely cautious when using something I've made vs something I've bought. Thanks, Yuriy!

I think that your technique for cutting the holder for the hex dies is quick and ingenious

The only question I have is how do you then bring yourself to using these jewelry pieces (and possibly leaving a scratch). I still have a mild PTSD from seeing you ding up the saw arbor ;) Great video, though.

Love the video wanna make my own now

If it's any consolation you blew me away with the whole package. It's my honor to hang your custom made plaques! And to build the kit. Plus now you have a least two sources for the build, my blind approach, and of course the instructions (which I still have no idea what they said 😆 )

I'm pretty impressed honestly. I likely won't use it where straightness is absolutely critical but for everything else... well i might have to let go of my perfectionism a bit 😂

😆 pretty much sums it up! Thanks, Mike

Okay, so this might be one of my favourite videos to date for a hopefuly obvious reason 😁 Honestly, this truly made my day. Got the notification half way through the day, obviously looked forward to it, but the shoutout you did absolutely put the cherry on top. I'm so glad you liked the logos I made, and I'm truly honoured to have them displayed in your workshop. In addition to this, you absolutely blew me away with what you did with the build - really makes me want to build the one I bought for myself now 😁 Incredible content as usual, Brandon. Can't wait for the next video.

Nice, I too try to stay away from using dies. They always seem to come out janky like you had shown Brandon. Going to need to build one these. Awesome job.

How do you know if it needs a chamfer? Well, a chamfered edge probably doesn't need to be chamfered. Probably. Exceptional work as always.

Chamfer King! That cone clutch works a treat. Outstanding build, Brandon.
