As a side note, I know what it's like to not realize I have feelings for someone until it's too late. I grew up with someone. And we were childhood friends. I didn't realize I had feelings for her because I was already close with her as a friend. I couldn't tell the difference between friendship and love at that time. So basically, I think Spike does love Twilight. But he doesn't realize it because he's confusing love with friendship.

Suggest that Spike should at least give it a try and consider it. One of the reasons Twilight was as hurt as she was is the fact that Spike never even gave Twilight a chance when he was dating. Even if Spike doesn't want a romantic relationship, and even though it's not what Twilight would want, at least it would give Twilight closure.
