Take Nanny to Regis and talk with him about what he wants to do. His new shovel-sword would be very helpful on either front, but you don't want to force him into fighting if he doesn't want to.

Regis could probably put his shovel to good use either helping with the defense or speeding up the new escape tunnel, but either will need him being introduced as a friendly force. Tell your Nanny that you have brought someone who can help, but she needs to meet them first, and lead her back to Regis. Unless your Siren form is slower than your base form, might as well hold it as long as possible, just in case another Song of Healing is needed.
