There must be places that slope upwards to caverns that don't have any ventilation of their own. Those caverns will trap air and form pockets. Since this is soon after it flooded, the air will be very warm due to the effects of compression. This is your home. You know where those would be. So: Get Regis to a sealed cavern with an air pocket!

Swim left. Whilst we need to get Regis out of the water as soon as possible, we will need to get him warm afterwards as well. The other fire dragons would be better at getting him warm than the other changelings will be, especially if they are low on resources and magic. Plus, there might be a way to get Regis out of the water and dry him off if we go left.

Running out of Love here. Quickly to the fastest exit. Also I'm calling inaccuracy. The water wouldn't make it all the way in those chambers on the right, the air has to go somewhere and, since it can't, would form an air pocket there. Could have made a temporary shelter to get his body heat up. Oh well.
