"Sometimes fear is the appropriate response." (Also, oops.) While not as intended, let's not let our opponent know that. At least this might give our opponent pause while providing us with a little time/room/distance to breath and reassess. Agree with going back to sword and board mode and taking a defensive stance. Watch and try to gauge how much damage our attack did, whether it caused any potential openings, and whether we can learn anything new about our opponent.

(That's a total whoops because I honestly did forget that the greatsword does fire damage is a default. Sorry timber dragon. :< ) But we need to stand our ground or they'll never leave us alone. Let's unsplit the greatsword and go full defense with the shield to protect ourselves and Timber because Wolfie is.. definitely gonna be pissed and this way least gauge its next course of action if it chooses to run or fight after we gave it a 'taste' on what we can dish out.
