When the Mighty Nein faced off against a friend-turned-foe, Matt Mercer let the players use their Persuasion skills to leverage their former friendship and sap their opponent's Legendary Actions. This ruleset provides a more robust framework for social interactions in combat between former friends and bitter rivals, so the players' words have the power to distract and dissuade, draining their draining their opponent's resources.
