There will be a per model setting that "flattens" the shading for the entire model, it is still a work-in-progress. It's going to be closer to the MMD flat shader but it won't be exactly the same.

That gradient+outline is feeling very comics like borderlands. wonder if we could adjust and get a flat shade + simple shadow.
