Maybe I was a bit younger than you (less than 15) but 2 things sold me on chrono cross, ff7 and ff8: the cutscenes and the liberty. I mean I remember more the trailer and music than the game (and cutscenes were limited in CC). Nowadays trailers rarely hype me...For me square game became unplayable with ff X and XIII that were just bad on rail anime. I don't remember chrono cross exactly so it must have been forgettable but I had a fairly good time. Today I would only replay for nostalgia... Ohh yes another thing is probably my bad english. I think this might have lead me that the story was better than the in reality ;p...
