In the last Ask Shane you mentioned selling off your stuff when you retire which got me thinking, when do you think you’ll retire? What would cause you to do so? Considering everything you’ve been through with SIFTD, I figure it’d take a lot for you to finally call it.

Hi Shane, I've been a huge fan of your output since IW back in the day - thank you for all that you have done. My question really relates to the future of Siftd. I've been increasingly sorry to hear how difficult the financial situation has been for you. Is there any merit in the idea of focusing only on Gameface? This would surely be less work for you, and I can't imagine you'd lose many Patrons if you pivoted in this way. Do you have a mental deadline before which Siftd needs to make more money? I am going to ask a cheeky second question, if that's okay, but feel free to ignore if I'm pushing my luck! The idea of investigative journalism and the games industry has always intrigued me - particularly when it comes to leaks. I suppose I question whether they're worth it. I can sort of see it from both angles. Can one make the case that the hundreds of people working on a game have the right to release information about their product in whichever way they see fit? And actually, is it sort of unsporting to leak information for the sake of it? Of course, exposing workplace injustices is an entirely different situation, and that's where I see the profession's importance in the gaming space. And I understand, too, that this notion may look like one is genuflecting at the altar of big business. But, surely, the workers, too, would like their product to do well. I remember you and Matt having a good conversation about this post the CyberPunk thing - I'm interested to know your position these days.
