Breakdown Recovery
As previously mentioned, breakdown recovery was one of the required features for us to publish a demo build. Depending on the magnitude of the collision, accidents in Honcho can be route-ending. If a full breakdown of the player’s vehicle occurs, we need to provide a reasonable path for players to get back on the road—hence, the breakdown recovery feature.
How it Works
Picture this scenario: You're driving along, attempting to complete a simple delivery when disaster strikes. You’ve miscalculated the length of your journey and run out of fuel. Worse still, you forgot to bring any spare fuel cans. You’re 50 km into your trip, with another 50 km to go.
What do you do? You can’t walk home and abandon the cargo, but you also can’t carry the delivery by hand.
Worry not! Now, you can simply open your map, locate the nearest public phone, and call for breakdown recovery.
No money? No problem. The breakdown recovery fee will be added to your business debt, to be paid later. Just get your truck back on the road and keep working.
What's Next?
As mentioned earlier, recovery was considered a key feature for us when producing a demo build. Our focus will now shift to increasing route variety and expanding vehicle components. After that, we’ll polish the game with settings options, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
An early demo of the game should then be in the hands of Patreon paid members.
Speaking of paid members—I want to thank you for your support. Thanks to you, we were able to develop this feature incredibly fast. Your contributions allowed us to purchase a Japanese phone model and modify it, rather than spending valuable time building one from scratch.

This is an option I want to provide. The artist we hired to make Keiko (the female character) has been busy with other work though. So we'd need to find a new character artist who is available for work. So far I've not had much luck finding someone.

I know this is a weird suggestion, but could you make (if you haven't already) a male character as well so you had the option? He doesn't have to have his own lore but you could add it if you want to. Great game none the less!

Yay! The game looks great so far, although the hands distance apart when highlighting something does look a little bit odd, slightly too close together I think. Other than that it's great!
