Yes, those defusers (grills) are designed to break up the hot water as it exits.
Awesome video! Quick question. Wouldn’t pumping the hot water from the secondary loop overboard while being submerged in cold waters be a dead giveaway as to the location of the submarine?

The Typhoon had a swimming pool and a sauna as well, quite unheard of when it comes to submarines
