It Needs stronger point defense. A phalanx, or a combo of d.e.w. and phalanx (type of rapid fire auto-gun), and strong ews.👍👍

With the Mk41 only filled with ASROCS the batch 1 seems to have barely any defence against anti ship missiles. Kind of a weird choice when operating on China's doorstep.

The odds are shortening for the Australia's RAN to purchase several. Next July I hope Australia will give this boat a green tick

also noticed that the MK41 VLS page has an Anzac class frigate for that close up picture, might be a sign that the mogami might win....

As an Aussie, i actually really hope this ship wins, mainly due to its larger displacement. which in general might mean that there is a bit more spare room to upgrade the ship over time for future refits! though i belive the japanese government just clarified that it will be the newer FFM (basically an enlarged version with some improvements) greate video as always!
