Glad you enjoyed it. To answer your questions: - Yes, Brooke really is conscious of her breasts. Have you ever known someone who's sensitive about their nose? Or some other feature? You don't think it's a big deal, but they do. They worry that it's too large, too small, too weird, too crooked, too whatever. They're self-conscious about it. Many women with larger or very attractive breasts feel that way, mostly because of guys who stare at them. It's unsettling, especially if you're the owner of the breasts in question. Ask any woman. I guarantee they or someone they know has similar issues. - Candy did a great job, IMNSHO. Your mileage might vary. Different strokes. - The dialogue tags are the nature of the beast, I'm afraid, especially in an unabridged recording (which this one is). Most narrators don't manage to create noticeably different voices for different characters. So it's something you just have to live with, I'm afraid.

Just heard it now. Great Story, Great Reading. Finally, the kitchen table comes into play, though not with Paul and Christy (probably some more people are waiting for that one still). Some things distracted me a little: - is Brooke really so conscious on her breasts? I'd expect her to be annoyed when guys talk to her chest, but being constantly in self-dialoge about them is not what I have in my fantasy... - while some parts are quite breathless for Brooke, it is a little too quick/breathless for other parts in my view, but I'm not born American, so I am probably used to other talking speeds here. - those dialoge appendices "he said", "she told him" etc. do not make much sense to me, when the story is read aloud, as the emphasis should (and does) make that context clear already. They are small stops in the flow of the story to me.

Heh. No problem.

Thanks for your feedback Les, I really appreciate your compliments knowing a bit now about your background in radio. I've been doing these sorts of short erotica stories online for 4 years on Patreon (well, it will be 4 years in August), and also some narration on Audible, and I keep trying to improve all the time. I guess you know you're getting somewhere when you listen to some of your old recordings and cringe a bit, huh? LOL

VoiceLikeCandy

Thanks Oscaraus, I'm looking forward to recording more for you all after such lovely feedback!

I'm so happy to be here, and sorry it took me so long to find Nick and send him what must have seemed like a very random email!

Why the heck does my iPhone almost always self-correct Ds to Ss? I know I typed “Big Ed,” but it changed it to “Big Es.” SORRY ED, I know who you are...

I finally found time to listen, and it was a wonderful experience. I spent a couple decades in radio broadcasting, so I have a really deep appreciation for Candy’s skill, pacing, voice quality, and intonation. I was especially impressed with her ability to actually create and interpret three separate voices at times consecutively, while still maintaining the characters: Rich, of course, but simultaneously Brooke, both when speaking out loud, but also internally voicing her thoughts. Candy, you are VERY talented! Thank you. And Nick, I know your plate is pretty full most of the time, but it would be awesome if you could expand this storyline. It would be interesting to see Rich and Brooke become more connected somewhere along the line. Unlike others who have seen Rich simply as a bad guy, we have to understand that our entire impression of him is based from Paul’s perspective. But Rich is a complex character, drowning in military bearing from birth, and a product of his father, his upbringing, and trying to be the very best of his chosen profession. It’s VERY difficult for people like that to set the precise discipline of a lifetime aside to interact in open, warm and casual style. But in the brief glimpses we’ve seen of him in later chapters of the main storyline, and in “Chase,” I suspect he could actually become a like able guy, a friendly compatriot at family affairs with Paul, and maybe even more, if this Rich/Brooke relationship develops. Big Es has carried to Coulter characters forward in his writing of Summer Camp “cannon” side stories. Maybe Nick could work with Candy to continue the Brooke/Rich storyline forward in audio format. It worked REALLY well for this first experiment, and I hope we can all look forward to more of these marvelous collaborations to come!

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. I don't know if I'll ever write the story you want, though. I mean, it isn't my story. It's yours. Try writing it yourself. That's literally how I got started writing. Let us know if you do. I'm sure other people would love to read it!

I also enjoyed listening to Candy and I think adding her for any short story like this one would be great in developing the characters/stories of any of our Summer Camp Characters would be great.

Thanks Nick. I am loving the way you are expanding Brooke's character. I find her very intriguing as you are developing her character. I would love to have a story from her point of view when she had sex with Paul and Trip and then when the boys were making her airtight.

The clues are actually in the story itself, but they're subtle. Brooke is working on her dissertation, so that puts it around 1986 (she started her PhD in '84). The weather is warm during the day but cool in the morning, so it's probably early fall. Also, something you don't know, because it doesn't appear in any of the stories: Rich lives in the San Diego house by himself, which was why his parents weren't home when Brooke went to visit him. The Admiral was all set to retire in 1984, but he received one last duty assignment (and promotion), to be Superintendent of the US Naval Academy. So he and Anne were living in Annapolis during the time frame of "The Chase." Christy and Paul get married in October 1987. So... there you have it.

One quick question....I remember the poll and our imputs were......but what time frame in the SC universe does the Chase happen.....Pre/post wedding, etc? Thanks again TERB and CANDY

Nick Scipio

Eventually, but probably not on Patreon. Sorry. I'll offer it through Amazon for 99¢ or as a freebie for the (future) newsletter.

Nick Scipio

I never got the feeling that Rich was anything other than protective toward Christy. And she was still flat-chested at 13. She looked like a little boy, so probably not. Brooke, on the other hand, developed early, probably around 13-14. Rich met her shortly after that.

btw: is there a text version coming (so to speak)?

Considering he’s lusted after Birdy since she was 13, he may have just found a way to have his cake and eat it, too.

Candy, welcome to the Summer Camp universe! Happy to meet you. Nick, thank you. I hope Brooke and Rich have some future; they seem to work well together. Not sure if he is willing to share with Birdy, though.

I think we make a pretty good team, so glad you enjoyed it :)

VoiceLikeCandy

Aww thanks Burke! I really loved voicing her too

VoiceLikeCandy

Stick with me, I'll help teach you all sorts of naughty things!

That was excellent!

I loved the story. And like you said, Candy's amazing. I see a lot of potential, with your writing and her audio voice. This gives you another avenue to promote your stories. This should give you a new spark of energy to get your creative juices running. It could get you and your reader an added diversion of the situation with the Coronavirus that everyone is experiencing now.

Nick Scipio

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it.

Kin....AAAA.......Thought something might be in the future when they met eyes at the wedding......Nick, you are the Man TERB....Oh, forgot....I really like the audio format....More please..

Nick Scipio

Yeah, they're both fantastic characters. And I think that's why I love them in particular. Neither is really how they appear on the outside.

Nick Scipio

So true! And I don't think Rich was grumpy so much as overprotective. Once he realized he didn't have any choice about who Christy wanted to marry, he got with the program. Yeah, it took him some time to come to grips with it, but he's adaptable if nothing else. Still, he's great fun to write.

This was fantastic! As much as Rich was a jerk at first, I love him as a character. And everyone knows how much I love Brooke! These two at first don't seem like a natural pairing... But... Damn if it doesn't work perfectly! Her slight paranoia about men and their reasons for doing things, and his cockiness to cover up his insecurities work so well together! I really do kinda hope they have a future together now!

Great story. I really like the audio and Candy's voice. I also like reading. I think that the combination -- written for main storyline and audio for side stories and character development would be a great way to proceed. I appreciate the development of two intriguing characters -- the really likeable, attractive and slightly boring/predictable Brooke and the previously unlikable, grumpy, one dimensional Rich. As many good actors say, it is more fun to play the villain because no one is pure evil and discovering the good inside an apparently unlikeable person is a lot of fun. That comment reminds me of attending my 10th high school reunion -- the people who had been considered cool and beautiful in high school were boring and predictable (some seem to have found the formula for success for an 18 year old and hadn't evolved past it) but the ones that I had not bothered to get to know in high school were really interesting and impressive at the age of 28! I suspect that Brook and Rich might become really intriguing characters as the story progresses.

Nick Scipio

Yeah, I understand. Different strokes, though. I thought this was a fun cross-promotion. And Candy's been a delight to work with. So we'll probably do more. But I'm not going full-audio any time soon, don't worry.

She certainly has a great voice, no comments on that. As a matter of personal taste, I like to read (and build my own picture from that) audio books are not my "thing".

Nick Scipio

Too cliché, don’t you think?

More Brooke!!!!!!!!!

Love it! And Candy's voice is PERFECT for Brooke.

Very good story. Though I had assumed that Rich played for the other team. ;)

Damn that was super hot Nick. Almost hope she and Rich become an item.

Very pleasant :-) I'm not a native speaker and having the voice helps me to learn..and is arousing!

Outstanding!
