Chapter 8 (cont’d)
Sometime later, I inhaled a deep breath, held it as long as I could, and let it out slowly. Allie sensed that I was in the mood to talk. She stirred, and her own breath felt warm on my bare skin.
“Well, what do you think?” I said. “Was it worth all the flirting?”
“Are you kidding? You saw how hard I came.”
“Yeah, true. So… tell me about that. I mean, three in a row? And the last one…?”
“They don’t always happen like that.” It was the verbal equivalent of a shrug. “But when they do… wow.”

I chuckled. “So you’re already planning next time?”
“Sure, why not? I mean, Christy’s gone, and you don’t leave till Saturday. She said I could borrow you…”
The guest bedroom welcomed us with a warm glow from the bedside lamp. Allie closed the door behind us, and her expression went from amused to thoughtful.
“Nothing,” she replied to my curious look. “Just that it’s a little weird. I mean, talking about sex in one breath and your wife the next. Not to mention that she’s one of my best friends.”
“Welcome to the lifestyle.”
“I dunno about that,” Allie demurred. “I’m having sex with you. That doesn’t make me a swinger.”
“It’s a step in the right direction.”

“Talking about Reese and Rob made me think of it. I mean, my qualifications. Besides, you’ve already been hinting.”

“I— I’m not sure. I know that’s a lame answer, but…” She shrugged. “I don’t have much experience. And before you ask, I’d like to establish some ground rules.”

I lifted an eyebrow.

Leah had taught me a thing or two about interviews over the years, so I knew better than to interrupt. Sure enough, Allie sighed into the silence.

I nodded and stuck to Leah’s interview playbook.

“Anyway, I guess you could say we bonded,” Allie went on. “Before you ask, nothing happened. Christy told me about her and Wren, and my stories’re nothing like theirs.”
“Then… what’d you do?”

Christy had said that Allie and the twins didn’t have a lot in common, except for the sex. The guys were also a year older and ready to graduate, while Allie still had another year of school. They’d ended things on friendly terms a couple of months later.

“But then I guess she started watching us. She was friends with Jay, and they went out a few times. She got him to tell her about the parties.” Allie snorted at a memory. “She told me later that she blew him but wouldn’t do more until he told her. Then she told him what she really wanted.”

“I was trying to figure out how to ask.” She sounded sheepish. “I mean, I feel like a kid in a candy store. But I… um… I don’t wanna overstay my welcome.”

Yep. And I’m still in charge.
We’ll just see about that! He tried his best, but he couldn’t get the blood flowing. I even gave him a couple of minutes, just to be fair. Unfortunately, the big head was fighting a losing battle against sleep.
“I’m a greedy slut,” Allie said, an apology of sorts. “I need dick, like, every day.”
“I wish I could give it to you. Sorry.”
“That’s okay. You gave it to me earlier. Four times! I know you were hoping for five, but we got a late start.”
“We’ll start earlier tomorrow. And we have all day.”
“And all night! Do you think the girls’ll get suspicious?”
“They shouldn’t. We’ll use dance camp as an excuse. And you know how kids are; they’ll think we’re doing it for them.”
“Little do they know,” she chuckled suggestively.
“As long as we pretend we’re sleeping separately. Speaking of which… do you mind if I spend the night?”
“Oh, thank God! I thought you were going to leave or something.”
“No. I just didn’t want to assume…”
“No, stay,” she said immediately. “That’s probably the only thing I miss about being married, even though you stole my side. I should make you pay for it.” She kissed my chest and returned her hand to my manhood. She squeezed gently, a hint more than urgency. “We could wait a while and try again.”
“Thanks, but…” I patted her hip in consolation. “I can take care of you, though.”
“No, that’s okay. I’m just excited.”
“Me too, but I’ve been up since six thirty…” The phone call with Laurie seemed like a lifetime ago.
“Yeah, you’re right,” Allie said. “I’ll let you get some sleep.”
“You should too.”
“I’ll try.”
I stretched and turned off the bedside light. Allie scooted away and started to roll over, but I moved with her.
“Is this okay?” I asked.
“God, yes. I just… I mean… you know. I don’t know the rules.”
“No rules. Just do what feels right.”
I spooned her from behind. I was used to Christy’s five foot nothing, but Allie still fit in the curve of my body. She sighed, and her breathing slowed.
“Mmm, this is nice.”
I rested my right hand on her hip, but she pulled it to her breast instead. I squeezed gently, and the little head made a last-ditch effort. I decided to humor him.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to…?”
“No, that’s okay,” Allie sighed, sleepy at last. “Just hold me. I miss that too.”
“Mmm.” Part of me was relieved, but the twenty-year-old wasn’t ready to give up.
Old man, he muttered.
Older and wiser, I said without a hint of regret.
Yeah, well… you’d better fuck her brains out.
Tomorrow, I agreed.
And the next day? And the next?
We’ll see. What’s so funny?
You, he said. Forty years old and I’m still leading you around.
I chuckled. If it ain’t broke…

I dunno. Allie is 5'8", so short is relative. I once dated a woman who was 6'3" (I'm 5'10"). She normally didn't wear high heels when she dated shorter guys, which was almost all of them. I told her she had amazing legs, was 5" taller than me in stocking feet, and another 3" wasn't going to make a difference. She started wearing heels after that. Looked amazing. Imagine a striking blonde German woman standing 6'6"... yeah, nice visuals.

“Although… I tend to like guys who’re shorter.” She laughed, “Short guys with big dicks… God, talk about contrasts!” How short is short? Because I’ve had way to many claim they like short guys, then freak out about anyone shorter than average and sometimes claim average is too short. It’s a PITA being short AF and getting shorty by the year.
