Pre-Theme Poll
🕑 Added 2022-09-22 16:54:14 +0000 UTCHey, everybody! I wanted your opinion on something. I love the pace I'm working at currently, but it could also be fun to change it up a bit. Nothing is set in stone and if, for whatever reason, we want to go back to the original format, we always can. I'll be doing another poll at some point in the future, to make sure everyone is on board. So I came up with two new ideas.
First one: Adventurers!
It's kinda what WizKids are doing, but at the same time I wanna make it more interesting, so instead of a "Monthly Theme Poll", we could make a "Class Poll". Then if, let's say, "Rogue" wins the poll, I'll make a bunch of Rogues of different races, using different equipment etc.
There's also an option of making Adventurers as "Bonus Minis". In that case the adventurers won't be related to the "Monthly Theme", and instead of dedicating the whole month, I'll just make 1 or 2 each month.
Second one: Encounters.
Instead of a monthly theme, I could make a kind of a scenario, let's say instead of a "Tavern Month" it would be a "Pirate Tavern Encounter", where you'll get enemies and a boss that you could use in such an encounter. I won't be writing a scenario or providing stat-blocks, it'll still be pretty versatile, but at the same time All minis will be usable in a single combat encounter, instead of them being reusable as NPCs that could be just chilling in the background and being used for social encounters.
After that poll, stay tuned for the actual Theme Poll, based on your answers. Also, let me know what You think, I'm open to suggestions!

Yup, both of your points are right. I do wanna mix it up a little, just so I myself am interested more in sculpting, but also I wanna balance it with what my supporters want :)

Yes (#2) cycle through each concept (regular, adventurers, encounters) one per month. I'm wondering if that gives a bit more flexibility for creativity? I personally like more flexibility in the work I do as sometimes you're just not in the mood to keep doing similar stuff (maybe part of why you are looking to expand?) Keeping artists happy generally gives better output I think :-) I don't think it would need to be on a strict schedule. I'd leave it up to you to pick what you were in the mood for a given month, then do what you usually do and offer a bunch of selections for that month? But I guess you'll know better what your supporters want. If there is overwhelming support for something best to keep them happy right?

I guess what you're saying is to have adventurers as bonus minis, right? Or maybe you mean doing adventurers for a month, encounter for a month and then do what I do for a month? I mean it could be done but could get messy. I'll look into it :)

What about alternating months for each concept? I love these ideas but also love what you've been doing.

Yup, that's why I'm so conflicted, cause both ideas do sound fun, I do wanna explore those options, and at the same time I kinda am fine with staying the way I am already. That's why I decided to make a poll. Hoping you guys can help me decide :)

Thank you for being willing to change this. I personally prefer the Adventurers mode with the odd Monster thrown in. "Encounters" would be the end for me. :(

Both new ideas are interesting, also an option for bonus minis is not bad. I am not sure what to chose and I am neither against stay as you are. But it can be interesting to try any new path.
