You can buy some "really magical" items from him, bangers like: Ring of Being Really Invisible, Ring of Infinite Wishes and a Key that goes somewhere important (he does not know where it actually goes).

So its like a Ring Of Invulnerability then. It makes you feel Invulnerable as long as no one attacks you. But if you get attacked it does nothing.
