Like, as an autistic person (yes this is on christmas merry christmas) I can get why Casper would find Junip annoying, its hard to deal with someone whos very extroverted and all in your face almost all the time, especially when you're doing something you like (Wether it be making coffee or sucking dick) it can be extremely frustrating, but when you set boundaries and start learning that the other person is trying their best to be friendly and respectful, then you might become more inclined to let them in It takes time, you gotta give em a chance and I dont think Caspers has realized that yet

I emphasize with Casper so much. It's way too easy to make bad experiences with people in the real world, especially when there is something different about you (like being trans or autistic or both), and even easier to find a safe space online and not realize you're being pitched against an enemy (cishet men). I try my best to not fall into the trap of hating people just for their label no matter how often my own bias is confirmed, but I did build up a wall that makes it almost impossible to find human connection. There are coworkers and people in my hobby sphere I'd love to be proper friends with, but I keep a professional distance and sadly, recently got confirmation again that this is the safer option in at least some cases, even if it's painfully lonely.

I bet Junip isn't even that annoying. I bet Junip *does* do a few things that gets on Casper's nerves, but he's more respectful... but since Casper has that hate boner for anything that disturbs his peace (or mismatches his energy level) he takes it out on Junip, who just wants to make friends.

I love Junip so much. How quickly he pivots directly into the exact right thing to say. And Casper really is his own worst enemy. I think part of the appeal of anonymous sex for him is that it's a form of physical intimacy devoid of actual social expectation and interaction. He feels free to just be himself. But like...he's lonely. You can see it in these bottom panels. There's a huge wall between his own heart and the rest of the world. If only that wall also had a glory hole to let the love in.
