Video: yet-untitled DVD player teardown

I bought a DVD player basically sight-unseen, mostly because it had a silly name, then sat down to shoot a video about it that was basically just... "here's this thing with a silly name and a silly splash screen, here's something neat you can do with it," and four days later I was on my fifth reshoot because I kept finding out things about it, including an extremely unexpected tie-in with the last quick start episode. Video's kind of a mess, hope you enjoy it.

There's nothing wrong with patchwork quilts. They're warm and comfortable and an art and utility of their own. Unrelated, you should see if you can trick the ESS player into playing NES games. ;)

I mean, nothing would stop me from just making it myself, I'm sure nobody would mind if it was just some burned CDRs with light scribe labels. Hell, I think that makes it better?

I do have to admit that I'd buy a DVD release of the Quick Start saga in a heartbeat. Alas, I doubt there's enough others like me to make such a move financially viable.
