So what's up in August

We were sick and tired of our game crashing more often than a drunk driving simulator, so we decided to code our own video plugin for GMX. Then, a few weeks into that, we realized that was an insane undertaking of the same scale as FDW, so we stopped.
Now, we're excited to port FDW to Ren'Py! And bonus, we actually have Turbo-Dev Bert working on it. Unclear when we'll actually make the change, but it's progressing faster than we anticipated (which is a lovely change from our usual time-estimates) and we expect to maintain all GMX functionality.
That said, this is happening in parallel with development on v0.3 Rye Part One, so as not to delay our Lord and Savior, so the next release will most likely still be in GMX.
Neat, so, Rye?
It's a-comin. The writing on Rye_Part_One is entirely complete, and now we are (as usual) bottlenecked on art and coding.
(I'm not saying this to complain about the team, I'm noting that even if a picture is worth a thousand words, the thousand words can be written a lot faster.)
Idk, we could probably go faster if we cared less about artistic coherence—would y'all actually want a game where the characters change shape a lot 'cause they're being drawn by different artists? It worked okay for Jack-o-Nine-Tails, but the thought of it rankles me.

Animations with sound and voices!

The talented Ryn continues to put lusty-moans into our works, and it is lovely. Also, sound foley is a magical world: the noise of Suni having an orgasm is apparently also the sound of Ryn crushing a grapefruit.
(I particularly like the sound of the player taking Rye's cock, since it kind of sounds like he's dying.)
Misc:
- The android port will happen one day! Be sure to go beg for sweet release from Booom313.
- Doodles has now completed his honeymoon and is ready to resume being our project manager, yaaay doodles.

Maybe you could get away with using a different artstyle (eventhough I think a skilled artist should be able to mimic an other artist’s style) when it’s a ‘drug trip’ like when he’s on spermicide or after he gets bound. That last one could be used for extending (bad) endings, which is something people asked for.

to be honest i think i had a change of heart towards your game i have found myself playing the game multiple times and again the 20 dollars its a high price but i don't it was a bad purchase and i wanted to say sorry about my previous comment

I think my main thought is I would appreciate artistic continuity a lot but I also think you already have art that really breaks that, not by any fault of your own but NobodyinParticular and Anasheya have very distinctive art styles.

Ren'Py probably isn't perfect (I'm not a dev, I dunno), but I remember a few games moving to Ren'Py and it's always been a big improvement, so I'm kinda happy to see that.

I think the main scenes and whatnot is good for consistency in art, but random and background scenes could be different artists. It'd be neat to see the characters done differently like... if you see a photograph of a character, or there is a flashback, or there is a random background scene with them. I guess for the normal interaction scenes and whatnot, I'd like to see the same style. Also, yay for crushing grapefruit!
