I was 14 and saw ep4 on day one in a mostly empty theater. No one knew what it was. I had a crush on Obiwan so that’s how I was. Lol

I think there can be both ends of that stick. Like this is, for all intents and purposes, is simply cashing the Live Action check that Boba's fandom have been dying to see on screen for, hell, 40 years now. There can and prolly will be a bunch of expanded material (comics, etc) to explain why he is so massively badass now when he could barely connect a shot from 15 yards away in RotJ and got accidentally Looney Tooned into a giant vagina monster in the sand by blind guy. George has been on record saying he'd have pushed for something different with Boba, had he known how massively popular he'd be with the fanbase, but he didn't design or really conceive of Boba outside of a mens to an end in ESB and RotJ. It's the fanbase that got the Fetts involved in the prequels cause he knew it would imbue more importance on them in the larger story. Now we get to see him live up to his own reputation. It's fan service, but done incredibly well and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more.

I think Fet is so much more badass now after having lived among the sand people after being left for dead in the Sarlack sack. He’s learned to fight with a Gaffi Sick and kicks ass with it. I mean really, you try living in a hairy sack for 1000 years and see how you turn out.

The orange shoulder pad on a trooper signifies rank. An orange pauldron on a clone trooper is a commander. White is a sergeant. Black is a corporal. Other colors in the games signified whether they were a sniper or grenadier.
