bolin = hot sokka. mako = hot zuko. #teambolin jinora is my fave character! such a good girl. very much like me. wholesome, calm, seemingly timid but has a quiet braveness to her. korra is so the opposite of aang. this ep is the first sign of "annoying korra" and as someone who love shows like saved by the bell and never have i ever, i can see i have a problem lol the leads are all a hot MESS but the series are great and have great supporting characters

I think the best way to describe the differences between Aang and Korra is that Aang is a human learning how to be an Avatar, and Korra is an Avatar learning how to be a human. If you look at Korra's story that way I think is more enjoyable.

I found it interesting having older main characters for this series. Korra is 17, Mako is 18, and Bolin is 16. Not that there was anything wrong with the ages in ATLA, but the characters being older adds to the increased maturity of the story. And I'm not going to address Morgan's intrusive thoughts xD

There is a popular theory that the avatar after the most recent one is usually very different from the previous avatar because their soul/spirit wants to fix their mistakes and shortcomings from their previous life. For example aang wasn't able to protect his people and didn't want to become the avatar initially but now Korra is all about it. Its an interesting idea just thought id mention it here.
