A while back someone pointed out that during the confrontation in the end between Korra and Amon the fact that Korra is a woman gives it an extra layer of uncomfortable due to the implication, especially with how Tenzin comes in hesitantly asking if he hurt her. Ever since they pointed that out whenever I watch the scene I always wonder if its intentional or just an unfortunate coincidence.

I agree with Amon about not taking away Korra’s bending too soon because not enough people are on his side. If he took her bending then the public opinion of him would be really bad, people will less likely join, and all the police and political shit will be ramped up to the max. So even if he took her bending it’ll be pretty easy to take him down because people won’t be as supportive. Also so much of Korra’s self worth is in her strength. She’s never been tested like this before which adds to her terror. She doesn’t think she’s worth much unless she is the avatar.

you guys don't think it's valid argument that she'd become a martyr? if the avatar lost her bending because of him, that's exactly what would happen.

while Chi-blocking is probably legal, being an active member of a terrorist organization most definitely is not. and with the big Amon poster in the back of that place and them training to use the methods that the equalists use, I think they have enough evidence there.

Tenzin is one of my favorite characters of the whole franchise. Sure, he fills the role of "mentor", but the thing that is unique about him as a mentor is he has his own character growth. While Iroh is incredible, his growth as a person happened all before the show even starts (mostly). Tenzin has a lot of development that I can't wait to watch yall experience.
