I have to admit I kinda like Mikasa's fuck 'yall I'm awesome speech right before she leaps off the roof. But it's obvious it was coming from a place of pain. At that point, she just didn't care anymore. So far she's my favorite character though I really like the rest of them and I admire Connie for trying to make sure Armin was ok and just kind of stepping up this episode.

Based on info cards from the first episode, the total area within the walls is like twice that of Germany or California; the walled area is fucking HUGE. It's not super obvious from the way the walls are usually depicted and the starting city area how vast it is. It also really makes you think about how much f'in wall there is, if all (most?) of it is 50 meters tall.

I do like this version's more copious use of swearing, but agreed, I've only ever seen Sasha say idiots before in the subs I've watched on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu.

I love this first season and the scene with Mikasa seemingly giving up and accepting death only to realize, "If I die, then I can't remember the person I love anymore, so I'm sorry and I promise never again to give up without a fight," was absolutely haunting and brings a tear to my eye every time.

Yeah it’s definitely edgier, the Crunchyroll version has far less swearing in general. But I like this version, I think it’s more fitting

The Sasha R word thing is like only in Some translations, in the Crunchy Roll one i think she just says, Cowards, Idiots and Weaklings, it was a big shock for me when i first saw it haha
