We're back with a big weird fucking mashup of casual canon obliteration, a few decent horror moments peppered in, some straight-up bizarre psycho-sexuality and a dropkicked Titan Baby and....
It's the weird ass 2015 Attack on Titan Movie Yall!
And it's Part 1, which Sean literally didn't know until after we started filming!
Eren and Mikasa are lame and he gives her the scarf cause she sneezed.
Connie is a big lumberjack and Levi is an apple-eating fuckboi - but both have different names.
And the Attack Titan continues the long Toho Production tradition of lame-ass fights in big rubber suits.
And Titans can be literal crying babies, which as Morgan points out is hilarious given what we know about how Titans are made.
Also shout out to Satomi Ishihara who portrayed Hans aka Hanje, the only actor who truly understood the assignment.

The Gintama live action movies were awesome too, completely captured the spirit of the show, well acted as well. Too bad Gintama never took off here in the States so most anime fans here probably never heard of it. Love that series.

Considering what they did to Mikasa's character in these movies, I wish they had just killed her off in the beginning of the movie. Saddest thing is I remember reading that Isayama signed off on the changes to the story, esp Eren and Mikasa's relationship. Cannot wait til you get to the second movie to see what happens to "Levi". 😂

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! 🎉🎉🎉 I actually watched the first part in the theater and actually liked it cos my expectations were so low. Amazingly, because it had its moments, my expectations were raised just a little for the 2nd part, and whoo boy was that a shitpile of a shitpie. Definitely worthy of MMM!

The first time I watched this movie was at a Halloween party. I was pretty tipsy and my friends and I fucking loved it. It’s so much fun, and since it’s a completely different story, everything that happened was truly unexpected. It was like watching AOT for the first time (just much worse, but still neat). Completely agree with Dustin though. If you don’t compare this to the series and just look at it as it’s own standalone thing, it’s a pretty fun B Movie IMO.

ah yes this movie, another one to the endless bad anime adaptations list lol. see even japan cannot make those live action adaptations work except for a few rare cases, ive heard a lot that the rurouni kenshin (samurai x in america) are some of the only really good live action anime adaptations.
