Oh. That is a shame, I really enjoy the sub. Especially Ed's voice is awesome (Hanji VA, which you probably knew already).

Doesn't really make a difference as a viewer of the reaction for the uncut version. But going audio only for the cut version, as I do on occasion such as at work, would be a real headache. On top of that, as a viewer of the show itself, the subs for this show do a serviceable, but somewhat poor, job of localizing. They tend to be robotic, sticking to super literal translations that fail to convey the actual intent of the lines. If you ever end up doing YuYu Hakusho, it has a similar problem, but it's compounded by the dub being a genuine joy that elevates some of the flatter characters. Generally a subs over dubs sorta guy, but these two shows are an exception.

Honestly, sub and dub are both great options. I think some of us are just emotionally attached to some of the English VAs for certain characters lol. Also the English VAs do a blooper reel at the end, while the Japanese VAs don't! So there's that to look forward to!

Oh and the subs did Ed wrong with the "oppressive" line 😂 He just liked how intimidating the alias he was given sounded Love your reactions as always and honestly I’m glad you’ll pick up the Dub😏 it might be annoying to switch and get so many people saying the same thing over and over again but at the end of the day I’m sure you’ll enjoy the show even more in dub after getting used to it (especially for the emotional scenes and the comedy)

Just a few pieces of information you might have missed that are kinda important for the rest the story : - Ed can do alchemy without transmutation circles ever since he saw the "truth" during the incident; - Apparently doing alchemy without transmutation circles is almost unheard of (which is why the military recruited him so young. He’s kind of a genius); - Alphonse cannot do alchemy without transmutation circles and Ed believes it’s because he didn’t see the "truth";

Yeah, I will always prefer the sub, but fortunatly this dub is one of the best out there so I'm not exactly complaining. I will stick around anyway!

There's nothing wrong with the sub but so many people grew up with the dub for this one. I think that's why people are flipping out. Any other time im sub all the way but FMAB has one of the best dubs. Whatever you guess pick I'm here.
