Eyy glad to get back into this with you chooms! Nice that Dustin has played the game, as you've noticed the show doesn't really explain anything so having a little guidance can come in handy--I've seen many reactors get tripped up on the opening braindance scene for example. I didn't play the game for more than a couple hours so these first few episodes of getting dropped into the world were my favorites, but I'm in the minority, most people say it really picks up after the first few lol. I just love how efficiently it paints the picture of a capitalist dystopia: a world where if you don't have insurance the ambulances won't even pick you up, where sympathy costs extra, where you literally can't fight back against the rich bullies because he WILL kick your butt with his more expensive tech. The story doesn't give David many options in the way of finding a happy life for himself, and I feel like that's the point of the setting. Scary stuff! Oh and this show is GORGEOUS. I'm a big animation nerd so I was just eating up practically every shot of this thing. Anyway, lookin' forward to watching more!
