I think Angel is right on target with Jon Snow at this point in the series. It will be interesting to see how his opinion may or may not shift overtime regarding that character. Some of Jon’s awkwardness seemed to be because this was Kit Harrington‘s first real acting role out of school. And he was definitely thrown into an enormous role for that point in his career. I’m sure it was tough. I also still wish that they would have stuck more with the book material for Jon in season two. I feel like so much of that season was wasted having Jon running around chasing Ygritte while she taunted him sexually. The book material has the story delving more into the culture of both the Night’s Watch and the Free Folk, as well as the magic of the far north. But I think the Showrunners were determined to use the sex appeal of the young handsome actors who they had playing Robb and Jon. But in Jon’s case especially, I think it was a mistake, no matter how much I like the pairing of Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie, and the fact that the actors fell in love on set and then married in real life.
