Mark hasn't killed anyone, only failed to save people. I don't think he's even killed the kaiju he's fought that seem like brainless monsters. He doesn't seem to take issue with other heroes killing to finish the job but I think when he kills it makes him feel more like his dad, which scares him.

This episode had no reason to go as hard as it did, the character building and the emotional craftmanship all packaged around a D list introductory villain is crazy. I know people wanted to see more of Angstrom but that was never really his purpose, its kind of refreshing to see a traditional villain that actually serves as a vehicle for the heart of the story. Can't wait to see how they handle the rest of it.

Don't think Mark's actually killed anyone till now, even those trans-dimensional aliens in Season 1, he came close with the big boss guy

I'm trying to figure out the "do not kill rule." Great episode though. I mean...don't they kill enemies all the time?
