Jon Bernthal makes his first meaty performance as Michael, Carmine's brother, and the chemistry between him and the cast is palpable and really sells their relationship.
Richie is GOING THROUGH IT with the neighborhood changing and his station in his workplace, life and city seemingly slipping away. It's a lovely lil' keyhole into what is driving his near constant ire and we're digging it!
Also, what's with the 50+ year old corner boys, or whatever is happening lol?!

Love the Jon Bernthal reveal. One thing I noticed is that Cousin Richie tries to tell the same story that Mikey tells. But he can't tell it the way Mikey tells it with all of the enthusiasm and as the kids say "rizz." Richie just ends up boring people or annoying them. Whereas Mikey is able to liven up the room and really get people invested. I think Richie is going through a lot in this. Things are changing all around him. The younger people are showing him up (in his head.) And his best friend is dead. And he also feels useless; which is a horrible feeling for anyone. I think there's a reason he won an Emmy for the role. He might be an a-hole but he's OUR a-hole.
