Still reeling from last week with Hardhome, we press on with Stannis and his ever increasingly dubious missteps of Stannis Baratheon!
Angel smells Shireen's demise coming from a mile off but it's still no less easy to watch!
Jon contents with Pubehead and co now that he's got about 10k Wildlings in tow!
Jorah asks us "ARE WE NOT ENTERTAINED?!" as we have a huge gladiatorial dust up in the fighting pts and a HUGE gambit made by the Sons of the Harpy goes off but not before Drogon swoops in and saves the day!

Thank you, Alexander Siddig is awesome. After watching DS9 a miullion times, I love seeing him pop up anywhere. Like in season 1 of Foundation, even for like 5 lines. Or in Kingdom of Heaven. I wish someone would give him a more substantial role again.

I think Vhagar was the biggest besides Balerion the Black Dread, of the dragons that came with the Targaryen's to Westeros. Vhagar in hot D, was one of the 3 m,ain dragons from Balerion's time and even at that point it still isn't as big as Balerion. Arya hides in the skull of Balerion way back in season 1 I think. Drogon is a little baby by comparison, at least at this point. If dragons are like gold fish, then the free-range dragons are probably huge but after the fall of Old Valyria I think dragons became rare to the point of being extinct. In the books the retune of Dany's dragons rekindles magic, or at least increases it's potency. The wildfire maker in the show mentions that even their wildfire is less potent than the new stuff they make but that their old stores of it still had the old potency. That is what they use in the Battle for Blackwater iirc. In the books his little coven of alchemist weirdos were having more success with it post-dragon, not sure if that is mentioned in the show back in season 2. That being said, no one has seen a dragon in action in probably 70-100 years. I think Dany's brother Viserys mentioned that the ones they had in the generation before him were not much bigger than a dog. I loved the look on Tyrion's face when the Drogon showed up; equal parts awe and terror. Great acting.

Not sure if anyone cares but this episode pissed my dad off to a degree you can't even measure. Any harm that comes to little girls sets him off.
