So apparently the financial backers for the WXO just completely backed out of the deal to finance them, so the promotion was forced to shut down. Allegedly the guy who ran the WXO (who also ran the short-lived AWF), was hoping to get a video game deal w/ Acclaim, an action figure deal w/ Original San Francisco Toymakers and possibly a deal to air on cable TV.
