Is getting color and TD off raw filament the best option?
🕑 Added 2023-11-06 03:56:08 +0000 UTCAfter spending some time trying to get good data off of raw filament, I decided I needed to get a good baseline of what the hardware itself is capable of. The idea is to remove some of the challenges that a round piece of filament can cause. So I created TD-1s, a swatch version of TD-1. I hope to use this design to help make the filament strand TD-1 better. With that being said, if after testing I find that the data from this version is too much better, it will also be released as an option people can use in their data collection. The only difference between TD-1 and TD-1s is firmware and printed parts. The end goal is still a raw filament based TD tester.

As of now it's all just for testing and comparing. The goal is getting the best possible data and confirming that we are getting within a reasonable reading from raw filament. If there is clear evidence that the data is superior, I will release this as an option. As of now, the components are the same. Only printed parts and samples are different.

OOOO....This is the one. Is this where you think you're going to go with it? I can't wait to see the project file on this. Will the electronic components remain the same?
