Non-Genuine Raspberry Pi's (Only Self-Source impacted)

It has come to my attention that some resellers seem to be selling the RP2040-Zero microcontrollers with non-genuine Raspberry Pi RP2040 chips. As of now it seems to only have come up for three Self-Sourcers out of 200+ so far. The issue here is they all seem to have the same UID of 4250305031373311. If you get one of these non-genuine devices, I will NOT be able to generate a license for it. You will need to work with the seller to get them to refund you or send a genuine replacement or purchase a new genuine one. If I learn what sellers might be known to be selling these, I will make another post so as to warn you before purchasing. I apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter.

The only way the display will show anything is if the Pi sends it data. Just connecting power to it will not help. Double check that you did not short out any pins with solder. Also, does your computer beep when you plug the TD-1 into an USB port? Connect up to HueForge and see if the TD-1 Menu shows up at the top of HueForge. This would say the Pi chip is talking to the USB port.

I just built one of the TD1 self sourced. I have not done any trouble shooting but I get no display upone plugging it in to the PC. Since I am not sure how this unit works cause I dont know that much about the Microprocessor. How should I trouble shoot this. CAn I just hook the display to voltage and will it light up? I saw you youtube about having run into bad displays so I dont want to chase my ass on this.
