Is Ikigai the thing were you get 1% better each day or is that something else?

I dont remember the last book I read, but if you want a fantasy recommendation, try the Wheel of Time series, it's really long, but my favorite of all time

Hope you get well soon! I'm currently reading The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch and I just finished a short story book called HellMouth by Giles Kristian. Trying to read more books this year and on my 3rd one rn. Already have my 4th book lined up too!

I am terribly sorry that you have fallen ill. I hope that you recover quickly and allow yourself to enjoy the time you have to rest. As for books, I have been juggling a lot. I recently finished David Bentley Hart's "Tradition and Apocalypse" and a portion of Michael Dylan Foster's "The Book of Yokai" and am currently reading Roger Wright's "A Sociophilological Study of Later Latin," a series of essays surveying Gnostic Literature of Late Antiquity, Stephanie Coontz "The Way We Never Were," and only made a small headway into Ilaria Ramelli's translation of the Kephalaia Gnostika of Evagrius of Pontus.

Oh wow, I'm curious what you learn from "Ikigai". I should be reading "Mutual Funds for Dummies", but most of my attention is going to "Bleeding Edge" by Thomas Pynchon.

Oooo.......Um, recently, I had finished reading "Wedge's Gamble" from the X-Wing series. Currently, I'm reading a series of short stories from "Vaults of Obsidian," which involves a mysterious space station made of stone, containing treasures and terrors, and rooms that constantly rearrange themselves

So sorry to hear you are under the weather Solar. I hope you have a speedy and painless recovery 🩡

Reading one of Karl May's books at the moment and manga rereading "To The Abandoned Sacred Beasts" and "Lovesickness: Junji Ito Story Collection"

My reading has been slacking this year😱 I probably read/listened to around 20 books last year on audible and physical books. I picked up Marcus Aurelius Meditations and got gifted "The Obsticle Is The Way" for my birthday so gotta get that stoicism in me haha

Tsun🌸

I’d recommend it! There are also a lot of manga adaptations of traditional novels and fairytales if that’s more your jam!~

S

Nice! πŸ™Œ I've yet to try manga myself tbh, but something tells me I'm getting closer to this experience day by day haha πŸ™ˆ

S

Oh wow... 🀯 this is very impressive!

S

Thank you! πŸ™πŸ˜Œ

πŸ«‚πŸ€ Ohhh I see, I see... we got quite a few book lovers here so who knows hehe πŸ‘€ I'm just a reallyyy slow reader so not sure how much you'd enjoy this kind of book club tbh πŸ˜…

Last read was "Moby Dick" by Melville , it's awesome !

Branded

Paperback or digital? There's been....14 in the past week alone? And does Fanfiction even count? If I had to pick a favorite actual book (from Warhammer sorry) then The Infinite and the Divine is hilarious

Parinojk

Get well soon, The Portrait of Dorian Gray was last book i read

I just recently finished reading β€œGoodbye, Eri”. It’s a short manga but it was really good! Not sure what I’ll be reading next.

S

πŸ₯² why you do this to me...

Babble
