Hi, hi! Just wanted to share a bit about what I’ve been up to.
The longest and hardest part of my art process is the sketch phase. So for the past five days, I’ve been pushing myself to draw three sketches a day. Today my hand already feels more confident. I’ve also started adding shadows, and they’ve started to look way more striking and effective.
I’ve also organized my characters. For a long time, I couldn’t decide which ones to focus on or how to connect them all. I wanted everything at once. But in the end, I settled on six main characters.
I’ve already written short descriptions for each of them, and now I’m working on reference sheets that reflect not just their design but also their personality. That’s actually why I’ve been sketching so much lately — I want their poses on the reference sheets to feel alive, expressive, and full of character.
Drawing really is like a workout — just for the brain. If you skip practice for a while, even sketching a confident line becomes tough again.

Better to reply late than never x3 Yeah, I totally agree with you :) Thanks for your support. While I was thinking about the reference sheets, I ended up fully developing the lore for my characters — it took two weeks! I wanted the lore to give me a solid base for generating ideas, but without limiting me too much

I find it awesome to know I'm not the only one that sees art and writing as exercise able skills. Like with anything there's falloff of skill and you have to maintain it- people think that skills of the brain dont suffer from that because "muscle memory" and yk, its just not like that. Awesome work, I absolutely cant wait to see the result of these reference/character sheets <3
