I'm re-watching this and it just dawned on me what Hogan having the belt means. This took place on June 3rd 1991, the Gulf War ended February. Vince really wanted that war to go on for longer didn't he?

Slaughter falling back with the chair is insane, either that really was the plan to randomly sell Slaughter's exhaustion, or Hogan was meant to knock him down, forgot, and commentary came in clutch saying he couldn't hold up the weight of a single chair

This is after Slaughter lost the title to Hogan at Mania 7; a Mania so bad they had to move it from the 100,000+ seat LA Coliseum to the 17,000 seat LA Sports Arena. WWF said they moved it because Slaughter death/bomb threats but it was really because they couldn't sell tickets; by the time they moved venues only 12,000-15,000 tickets were sold.

This is historically notable as a clash between two of the guys who did the USA gimmick the hardest (the Patriot, Duggan, and Angle also on the list of course), but of two major babyfaces who kept missing each other in the 80s; Slaughter leaves the WWF about a year after Hogan comes back after being their ersatz top babyface over that span (arguably bigger than Backlund), and goes to the AWA which is where Hogan had been before. Truly words colliding.
