I was under the impression that Hogan/Flair drew poorly at house shows, so that's why a feud between them in the WWF never really happened. And also Hogan looking like the biggest asshole (even considering his later adventures) over that finish. As a PPV, it flowed pretty well and outside that truly awful Bushwackers match, it was extremely watchable. One of the best Rumbles ever.

This is Owen's first ppv match after his Blue Blazer run ended and he did a few years in Stampede Wrestling. The New Foundation was a thrown together team to give Owen a push, which is why Anvil is out of shape. So Owen's extended ring time was definitely the Fed testing him out. "Hey, you're the opener and you're going to be in the ring a long time. You better have shit to do and you're going to be selling a lot, so don't lose the crowd."

That entrance zoom camera during Piper’s arrival you guys raved about is a steady camera/gimble. I don’t think it’s unaffordable for you guys($5000 for one on Amazon), you just need one(WWF probably only had one at ringside), but I think you need a really strong man to be able to carry that thing. I think the shot during the super kick spot in the Hart match might have been that too. Maybe carried it a bit higher when they were in the corner? You guys should invest in platforms to be able to get an apron camera shot like WCW had.

Fun fact about the finish of the rumble. When Sid eliminated Hulk the crowd popped and then started booing Hogan for being a wee little Crybaby-Maniac. That obviously didn't work for the him brother so for the replays they re-recorded the commentary to make it more obvious that this was a Sid heel turn and added fake boos and Hogan chants. Also those Sid chants at the end where gone.
