Crystal Tester Circuit Release, Add-A-Cap Circuit Update!
🕑 Added 2025-09-17 03:16:53 +0000 UTCAnother very beneficial tester for the bench! The crystal tester works with fundamental and overtone crystals alike. Use this circuit to test all sorts of different crystals! See video for the schematic. Enjoy!

Did I miss something? ...was the schematic and parts list already released? (for the crystal tester)

I’d also like to know how, I got question (is on the level that’s ok for pm) so il just reply here instead of make more threads.

Can anyone tell me how I can Personal Message Mr. Carlson to get the files for video #43 so I have the pcb layout and parts list?. Thanks in advance.

Great video! I think some of us need a review of crystal circuits and how the capacitance affects the frequency and even the ability of the crystal to oscillate. Also, the if you could explain the difference between a fundamental and overtone crystal, it would be helpful. Is there a video perhaps that you made a while back that explains these things? Thanks again Paul!

Hi Mr. Carlson. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! Regarding the issue with the op amps, would it be practical to teach us how to test them?
